After working as an aeronautical engineer in the UK, Alan Wicks became a mathematics teacher. He has taught International Baccalaureate mathematics in the UK, Swaziland and the United States for more than twenty years. He has served as an International Baccalaureate Examiner and Internal Assessment Moderator for over ten years and has authored numerous questions for IB examination papers and curriculum development materials. He has also conducted numerous IB teacher training workshops in North America, Latin America and Europe. He is currently teaching IB mathematics at the United World College in Montezuma, New Mexico.
