John has been deeply involved with scouting for the past 43 years. He was a Scoutmaster for over ten years, with 25 Eagle Scouts to his credit.Has served as the Chairman of all Camping Activities for Sunrise District NY for 16 years.Was a member of the Catholic Bishop Committee on Scouting for 10 yearsHas served in the US Air Force in Alaska, 1942-1945 He has been a photographer, a carpenter, an auto mechanic, a whittler, lithographer and a truck driver.Has been married to the same wonderful woman for the past 57 years.Has written of his experiences with the idea of helping scouters, scout parents. He believes the lessons learned as a scout volunteer are equally applicable to life and the general public.
