Stuart Ward, 54, is a native San Franciscan. Living in a hand-built, solar-powered cabin in the northwest high-desert woodlands, he often enjoys a clothes-free lifestyle. He has earned a livelihood wildcrafting sagebrush and pumice. For ten years he frequented, and eventually helped run, a popular clothing-optional mineral springs. There he underwent an evolution in body attitude—his own and others. He was amazed how many closet nudists there were, happy to come out, given a safe, natural setting—and permission. Long a wayward writer, this is his first book.
