At age 19, John Etheridge joined the US Navy when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and we were engaged in World War II. After the war he came home, married his good friend, Frances Miller, enrolled in a pre-med course at the University of Texas at Austin, and in due course graduated from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. After 45 years of family practice he retired and started writing. He loves story telling, but he was challenged to write a psalm at a hill country retreat near Leakey, Texas and found he enjoyed that so much, he wrote a number of psalms, which were published in 1994. Here then is his second book of songs of praise and thanksgiving for a God who loves him very much.
