Boniface Idziak was born in America, but moved to Canada in 1962. He is a self-taught mineralogist and prospector who has dedicated his life to the wilderness and the preservation of nature. Though this is his first children’s book, his storytelling credentials are well established: he has 5 children, 3 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
