Kelvin Kent was born on the Island of Jersey, trained in London and spent 17 years in the British Army, serving in Europe, Africa, and Asia. He has participated in several major expeditions including, overland journeys from UK to India, Alaska to Chile, and climbs of Annapurna and Everest. He came to the US in 1976 and successfully operated a small business until 2000. For the last 30 years he has helped lead dozens of fundraisers in his own community. He is the author of two local hiking guides and now lives in Ouray Colorado, with his wife Becky
