Biography:
"Once a Marine, Always a Marine" describes Sal Parlato Jr., a.k.a. Chris Madeira. He enlisted in 1954, trained at Parris Island, and went OCS (Over Choppy Seas) to Japan and Hawaii, attaining the rank of Corporal. Born in Buffalo and degreed by Holy Cross College and Syracuse University, his day jobs as video/film salesman, media administrator, and ESL teacher centered around Education. MARINE CORPS BOOT is his first work of fiction, preceded by published poetry, reference books, and a reader-text on Americana. Semi-retired, Sal tutors in Rochester, NY, where he lives with his financier-spouse, Dolores Frates.
