Tom Girard has written about markets and trading techniques for Financial Trader magazine. He also served as financial writer for the Daily Variety entertainment industry trade publication in Los Angeles. His work there included extensive reporting on 1987’s Wall Street crash.

Earlier journalistic activity involved covering Washington politics and the White House. He worked for several large broadcasting companies and created the Close-up series that has run on C-SPAN since 1979.

Tom has traded for his own financial accounts for 30 years. He holds two NASD securities licenses.

Tom holds a Master’s Degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
