JoAnn lives in a suburb of Atlanta with her three dogs. She enjoys combining her love of outdoor activities with her love of dogs.

She grew up hiking and camping in areas all over the United States, from Georgia beaches to the beautiful Northern California mountains. Her household has always included one or more dogs. She currently has 3.

She is an advocate of pet adoptions and responsible pet ownership. Her children share her appreciation of nature and love of animals, and she plans to pass it on to her grandchildren as well.
