Harry R. Townsend was born in 1947 and spent his youth in the small southeastern Pennsylvania town of Parkesburg, part of the Octorara area that frequently appears in his work. He finished high school 1965, served four years in the United States Navy spending most of those years in Japan, Vietnam and the Philippines. In the seventies he lived and worked in western Pennsylvania before returning to his home territory. He is the proud father of two children, Rana and Travis, and is now enjoying being a grandfather. He and his wife, Patricia Umble, live in Christiana, PA. This is his third book of short stories.
