Vivian L. Thompson got a late start at writing --Third Grade--but she hasn't stopped since. Picture books, easy readers, retold folklore, articles, plays, poetry and book reviews.

She has had 21 books published. One was a Junior Literary Guild selection. Another received a citation from the N.J. Assoc. of English Teachers. Three of her plays won awards and were produced. One of her retold Hawaiian folktales was translated into Spanish and published in an anthology. Another was translated into Samoan and used in the public schools of American Samoa.
