Although she now makes her home in Moore, South Carolina, Gerri Story comes from a long line of Georgians. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia and attended school there. She is married to the Reverend Karl Story, a retired Southern Baptist minister. Together they have reared four children. She has been writing since her early teens. Her poems, essays and stories based on their life in the ministry have been printed in church publications and newspapers wherever they have served. She attended Wingate College and Winthrop University, majoring in Counseling Psychology. She is also an accomplished artist.
