After a business career, Doris Walker became a teacher. This led to becoming founder/director of “Hi Hopes” – students gifted with a musical genius in stark contrast to their severe mental retardation. With this band she appeared in concerts around the USA, on TV, and in many presentations and recordings. This, in turn, led to her becoming founder/Executive Director of Hope University: an adult school of the arts for savants. Now retired, she pursues various interests.
