Abstract:
Christ, the Messiah that Christians believe God promised Israel, told Peter, "On this rock I will build my Church." His Apostles, disciples, their early successors and willing martyrs, are the "Foundation Rocks of Christianity". They spread the Scriptures and traditions of Christian doctrine throughout the Roman Empire and beyond.
This book tells the dawning Church’s story through persecutions and heretical internal struggles; up to the First Council of Constantinople, 381 AD, when briefly all factions within the church and the Empire were in agreement.
This brief respite didn't last long. The Epilogue summarizes the continuous struggles to today.
