Abstract:
Donnie Jo promises her dying father to save the Circle C for herself and her three siblings. Widowed, she has the care of her adventurous little girl as well as a heavy workload at the ranch. Funds dwindle. Stress builds when she’s forced to let more ranch hands go.
Wiggling into jeans, Donnie straddles a horse to help herd cattle. She’s dubbed Rebel. Desperation spawns wild ideas. She advertises FOR a husband. Andrew arrives. Doubts plague her.
