Abstract:
Teilhard de Chardin recast some traditional church teachings about creation into language appropriate for an evolutionary world view, and his followers have applied his thought to the environmental crisis. With the arrival of homo sapiens, evolution has shifted from a genetic mode to a cultural one, with the development of higher consciousness and with the result that the future is in our hands. The arrival of extraterrestrial visitors, with their advanced technology and highly developed spirituality, will help move us to a utopian time when abundant pollution-free renewable energy solves our environmental crisis, eliminates inequality and ushers in global peace.
