Abstract:
Folk History of the San Gabriel and Inland Valleys presents history of the Los Angeles Basin and the foothills and valleys along the southern slopes of the San Gabriel Mountains—the San Gabriel Valley and the Inland Valley that run from Pasadena east to San Bernardino in Southern California.
The book begins at the time of Cabrillo’s voyage to California in 1542 and concludes with the Crawford Teague family’s first settlement in the San Dimas area in 1878.
Folk History presents accounts of this era augmented by poetry, anecdotes, and illustrations.
