I thoroughly enjoyed reading "Zita's Guuide to Wine and Life", as it reads much like Zita herself--light-hearted, non pretentious, an with a zest for life.
I've taken one of Zita's classes through Women for Wine Sense, and have gotten to know her a bit on a personal level. She really knows how to educated those of us who enjoy wine, but are a bit intimidated by the process of identifying what exactly we personally like about the wines we drink.
While I've been wine tasting in the US as wells as in several departments in France, and in Switzerland, Spain and Chile, all of the tours have had the same thing in common--they smacked a bit of wine snobbery. Zita removes that facade in her classes as well as in the book, and makes learning process very accessible.
I highly recommend this book as it reads more like a travelogue than a textbook. Kudos to Zita, and I look forward to the nex read!
