Huntsville Stars’ baseball stadium is the subject of a three-way battle between the city, the Stars’ ownership and the fans to be the first to desert “Old Uncle” Joe Davis Stadium.

Abstract:
Attendance at the Double-A Huntsville Stars’ games for the last decade has been dropping like a Texas-League single in front of the centerfielder. There is a duel between the city’s management and the owner’s management to see which can reach the bottom first to dispense with old Uncle Joe, that is, Joe Davis Stadium. The customers have spoken with their feet, so it is a three-way duel. This is a socio-economic analysis of the many complex and overlapping facets of that duel.
