Abstract:
The “Self Help Post-Conviction Handbook,” provides sample form letters, pleadings, petitions, motions, memorandum briefs, appeals and petition for writ of certiorari all designed to assist post-conviction litigants proceeding in forma pauperis without counsel. The book covers most scenario’s that a post-conviction litigant will encounter and is designed to assist the user with obtaining documents; supply the user with an understanding of how to format post-conviction pleadings; how to analyze post-conviction claims; guide the user in the right direction for formatting constitutional claims; and provides the Rules governing 28 U.S.C. §§2254 and 2255 pleadings.
