This inspirational memoir shows how a boy transcends an unyielding educational system, matures, seeks challenges and overcomes or ignores failures. The author shows readers how to identify giants in their daily lives, and how they also can be giants. He demonstrates that each of us can follow Teddy Roosevelt’s urging of 1910 that, no matter how many times we get knocked down, if we don’t get back up, we’ll never have a chance to succeed.
