Abstract:
In 1856, husband and wife, Billy and Thalia Costello, become friends with Dr. Dulcamara, who is experimenting with the new medical phenomenon Hypnosis. They eagerly participate in the experiments and find themselves being put into “dreamland” where they encounter famous figures in past history such as Julius Caesar, William Tell, Cleopatra, Patrick Henry, Betsy Ross, Socrates, Nathan Hale, Martin Luther, George Washington, and others. After each session, they awake from their dreams to their present-day 1856 world, having momentarily traveled back in time to some notable event of the past. These experiments demonstrate history in a reality mode.
