Abstract:
Award-winning poet William Carroll, Ph. D. is a retired professor who began to write poetry with any regularity only after his retirement. He soon found himself in demand as a provider of “occasional” verse for weddings, birthdays, funerals, anniversaries and other occasions. Some people and organizations started requesting poems for themselves or others without having any particular occasion to commemorate. In a few years, Carroll had amassed enough such poems to make a book. In addition to his writing, Bill enjoys gardening and working with young people. Not surprisingly, he enjoys writing about young people.
