The Memoirs of Suzanne Tillier address the life of a most extraordinary French woman who pursued the issues of women’s liberation a half century before there was a popular awareness of the concept.

Abstract:
Suzanne Tillier (Till-Yeah) was an extraordinary French woman who wanted no more than the same freedoms possessed by all men. In a fifty year period, Suti lived six distinct and adventuresome lives:

• Battlefield Red Cross nurse in World War I
• World record-holding aviatrix and acrobatic pilot
• Partisan
• War commando awarded the Legion of Honor for fighting Nazis
• Member of the French Woman’s Army in Indochina
• Colonial administrator in equatorial Africa

The translation of her memoirs, thirty years after her death, reveals an individual of incredible resolve and humility. Suzanne Tillier lived the issues of women’s liberation a full generation before they became vogue.

This is an amazing story of a brave woman who wanted no more than to have the same rights as all men. Told "from the shoulder" this story is totally entertaining.

As I read this fascinating story I kept seeing it as a movie. This woman was in the action for nearly fifty years. The author, using her memoirs, has brought this story to life. Bravo.
