Abstract:
The Horse Keeper: The Healing Gifts of Painting and Writing about Horses is a collection of remembrances based on nature, especially horses, as guides. When their father’s illness forced his relocation to a nursing home, Patti and Maryann turned to art. When Patti was diagnosed with cancer, she survived the cancer treatments through painting and writing. Based on a gallery of their drawings and a novella about horses as guides, the authors inspire the reader to write, draw and paint on the pages provided.
