Abstract:
A chance encounter as a boy sends Stace Strorror on a lifelong quest to regain what he believes love to be. A lost love haunts his past and a love disappeared foretells his future. From stalking a trophy buck in the big deer country in which Stace was raised to a reunion in Dallas to the First Class Club in Montevideo, Uruguay to the farolitas and luminaries along Canyon Road at Christmas in Santa Fe Stace searches for what vanished from his life. He must decide whether fulfillment lies within the shot or the stalk, whether love lies within the embrace or the heart.
