Abstract:
Belief in God seems independent of culture or training, and is common throughout the world and throughout history. Mankind evidently needs God. It is natural to believe in God because, as the Bible states, all men have a measure of faith. The God or Gods people worship are likely to be images of themselves and their culture. Descriptions and attributes of God accepted by societies and by individuals tell more about them than about God. This book describes religions that have had or continue to have some impact on the USA.
