Growing up as a baby boomer was much different than growing up is today. Or, is it? Read the letters, remember the times; see how everyday decisions can change one's lifetime.

Abstract:
The Jennifer Letters are the memories of a baby boomer, passed on to his only child Jennifer, who is growing up in the same neighborhood as he did. Going to some of the same schools, how much has the social/economic impact on life changed between these generations, and how much has it stayed the same? And, what impact has childhood toys, games, and sports had on the author's life as opposed to that of today's childhood upbringing? Is there a preset plan for living one's life, or do we make our own plan as we go?

An interesting and entertainingly written account of a father's early experiences in life, and how various family members set the course for his life and interests today. Contains many special memoirs and historical happenings for his only daughter's information and enjoyment. Every family should have such a record for future generations to enjoy!

An interesting book for a look back in time. It jogs memories of what was happening in our own lives during the 50s, 60s, and 70s. A good source of life lessons and history from a father to his daughter.

A wonderful series of stories chronicaling the extrordinary life and achievements of an not-so-ordinary father, his love of family and friends and life defining decisions throughout his early and later years. This book provides an excellent inspiration to the reader to look at their own life and demand much more of themselves. It is also a rare treasure that most of us will not have about our own parents.

What a fun, fun, ride down memory lane. I couldn't put in down and truly enjoyed every word. I found myself giggling out loud at some of the stories, they really hit "home". What a wonderful gift to give to an only daughter...it really makes you think about how special life was then and how things do change over the years. This author gets a big thumbs up from me!!

Few daughters are as fortunate to have such a warm, touching and funny legacy written by their father. This is both enjoyable and thought-provoking to read, particularly for those of us who grew up in the 50s and 60s. So many passages triggered good memories!

Dozens of little history lessons about life in the sixties permeate this book. Readers in their fifties will enjoy a nostalgic peek back into their own childhoods.

The Jennifer Letters is a great snapshot of growing up in Indy in the Irvington neighborhood. Greg's life was rich with family, faith and great toys. Jennifer's dad is an adventurer, a pack rat of memories, photos and those wonderful toys. Jennifer's a lucky girl.

I could not put this book down. I also grew up on the east side of Indianapolis during the same time period. It was fun to revisit the childhood memories of neighborhoods, building play forts and painted blue skies. I also enjoyed the very personal and more serious observations about life at school, friendships and lessons learned on the suburban frontier during the 1950's and 1960's.
