Abstract:
Last Call! Interviews with Alaskan Bartenders is a collection of stories as related by current or past bartenders, along with recollections of some of the deceased members of the trade as recalled by their acquaintances. It is designed to pay homage to all the past and present bartenders who are working or have worked in Alaska. They helped form Alaska’s backbone in the past for much of the population, listening to peoples’ problems, helping with solutions, extending credit, loaning money, even staking miners in the old days, enabling them to buy supplies to work their mining claims.
