Abstract:
“George Washington’s Revolutionary Marshals” is a book written for the young people of America to help them understand and learn more about the men who were first responsible for carrying out the mandates of the Declaration of Independence.

This first generation of law enforcement for the new nation, the United States Marshal’s, were appointed by President Washington and had proved their commitment to the new nation in time of war. Many of these first Marshals were heroes of the Revolutionary war and friends of the President. This book tells their stories.
