Abstract:
As a constant traveler with many contacts abroad, language, culture and education had become natural subjects of interest. Spending sixteen years studying, working and interacting with local populations left the author with the urge to develop a tool to help transcend the language/culture barrier; A Taste of Spanish was the answer. Casual foreign language conversationalists, college and high school students, restaurant managers, construction contractors, entrepreneurs, business travelers, as well as tourists traveling to Mexico, Spain and other Spanish speaking countries, comprise an extensive market of persons demanding instructional material geared toward: assisting with Hispanic cultural awareness, a quick and convenient Spanish language education, and/or translation situations. What makes A Taste of Spanish unique is that it is proficient in all of the above areas, easy to comprehend and refer to, and convenient by including this information in one package. To “know before you go” can be indispensable for the North-American traveler.
