Abstract:
Abigail, the daughter of a Jewish father who teaches his daughters to serve God, amd David, a young shepherd who plays the harp, go to worship at the Tabernacle, but they are pulled apart by their fate. Abigail marries a rich landowner in Carmel. in southern Judea. David kills Goliath and marries Michal, the daughter of Saul, the mad king of Israel. Saul tries to kill David, who flees to a cave in the wilderness, with his followers. Abigail saves him from killing all the men at the Carmel ranch. When she tells Nabal this, he dies of an attack. David asks Abigail to marry him. She is with him in the rest of his troubles, until he receives the victory and the crown of Israel and Judah, and the promise of an eternal kingdom.
