Abstract:
An Englishman takes the wrong turnoff in the fog and finds himself lost in Balona. He must spend his first night with the Kenworth Kuhls. Mr. Simon Burberry (or is it Mr. Silas Blade?) takes mysterious green capsules to reduce the trembling that besets him. He is handsome, suave, speaks with a noble accent, is a fine woodworker fabricating wonderful puzzleboxes, but he appears to have people on his trail. Will Joseph Oliver Kuhl and Cousin Zachary Burnross become allies of a politic and innocent Mr. Burberry, or will they unmask the stranger as a dangerous spy and maniac?
