Abstract:
Twenty-three year old Sandy Samuel is fighting to stay alive. The dedicated special education teacher is suffering from a spiritual, emotional and physical breakdown. She struggles to hide her malady from coworkers, family and friends. Trying to appear "normal," intensifies her compulsive, thoughts, actions and fears. Verbal messages from her deceased mother Sofia, plague her ability to function. Unsure if she hit a pedestrian, Sandy stops driving her car. Paranoid about being hunted by the police, she imprisons herself in the bedroom. Convinced that she poisoned a student, she begins therapy. Just as hypnosis begins unraveling bizarre twists from her past, Sandy must learn to summon the strength inside her to confront these old demons.
