Abstract:
Who delivered the Christ Child? What was childbirth like at that time? How did women manage childbirth and delivery? What was the role of women in Christ’s ministry? And Time Stood Still tells the story of the midwife, Lydia, who delivered the Christ Child. When Joseph searches for the midwife, time stops until he finds her. Lydia knows that there is something special about this delivery because the mother is a virgin. The story follows the ministry of Jesus through the experiences of Lydia and her family as they learn healing and spirituality, still closely aligning the traditional Jewish customs.
