Abstract:
Commander Surri, and the battleship Tunnard, were both considered out of date by the political regime of Sadai. But instead of fading into the twilight of his career, Surri was about to engage in a battle that would ultimately decide the survival of the United Federation or eradicate two of the known species -- a battle that will take him on a new adventure, reveal to him mysteries of his galaxy, and begin a friendship with a strange being. This was not the twilight of his career. This was the climax of it, and the dawn of a new age.
