Mainstream medicine begrudgingly entertains the possibility that energy can play a useful role in health and healing. Energy healing techniques like Healing Touch and Reiki are making their way into hospitals and clinics. However, contemporary western medicine steadfastly avoids, if not denies altogether, the possibility that spiritual factors – including spirits themselves – may play an important role in healing as well.
