Pat pushed the movie under the glass and turned to run, glancing back at the window. The glass was pitch black on the inside and light on the outside. A small hand and arm from out of the dark reached out for the movie. Then a circle of light surrounded the girls face with a smile. Pat saw peace on her face without any fear. Pat knew she was to remain silent and leave.

Our great nephew, C.J., shared a story with us. One day, when he was walking around the courtyard at Swanson Center for youth with his friend, James, C.J. asked, “Have you ever noticed how certain people act a certain way or seem to have certain auras around them?”
They might even be someone dressed in black.
James said, “See that guy over there? I see a demon around him. I see a demon standing on his head, clawing at him and throwing up on him. Things falling out of the demons face onto their back. I can’t just walk up to them and say, “Hey, there’s something hanging on your back and clawing at you.”
Stuff coming out of the demons would go into a person, while at the same time; the demon would draw something (like life) out of the person under attack.
It’s nothing like you’ve ever seen on TV. It’s beyond your imagination. It’s more than words can describe to you. We are blind. If no two demons look the same, can you imagine what’s lurking in the spiritual realm? They have no other purpose than to drag you down.
Imagine being blind and trying to understand what the color red is. How would a blind person ever see red, other than another person trying to give them something to relate red to? Imagine how you would describe red to a blind person using something from your knowledge of no sight to compare red to, so they would see red in their blind mind’s eye.
To describe blue to a blind person, I might say it’s like an ice cube, or cool water running across your finger tips, or red might be like a touch of a flame on your finger, or a warm touch.”
It’s hard to describe things we are all familiar with. How can I describe what a demon is? Pick up a baseball bat and smack them with it and say, “Man that’s a demon.”? And it is.
I can look at a normal girl looking down all the time and holding her school books. I see chains all around her dragging her down.
There are some places and restaurants that you can go into and feel the darkness. Sometimes a waitress can have darkness around her, or even the whole place is in darkness.
I can see someone dragging a big disfigured arm around. I remember James would come back to our dorm in the evening and pray for the people who had demons. I asked James if I had demons and he said “no, I don’t see any on you.”
Having a broader knowledge of things like this has made me more aware of “things that lurk” around us. Just being good or bad will not get us to Heaven. Demons are out there working all the time to draw us down to Hell with them.
They hate us because God loves us. Their goal is to separate us from God.
Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus came that we may have life, and have it more abundantly.
I learned a lot at Swanson, and grew in my relationship with Jesus. I determined to never go back, and I haven’t. My purpose for telling this story is to share the power of Jesus. What He did for me, He can do for you.
Know that Jesus is close at hand and wants to be your savior, redeemer, and best friend. John 3:16 tells us that God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. If you want Him in your life, just tell Him so. If you want to escape Hell and spend eternity in Heaven with Jesus, talk to Him. Tell Him you’re sorry for your sin and ask Him into your heart – like this:
Heavenly Father, I am a sinner. Please forgive my sin. I ask Jesus Christ to come into my heart and life. I now receive Jesus Christ in my heart and life. Save me and deliver me from every demon of Hell. This I pray and ask in the name of Jesus. Amen. Now tell someone: “Jesus is my Lord,” and believe.
