LESSON #7
CHOOSING TO CROSS OVER: LETTING GO OF THE IDOLS
My spirit now grieves. God is not happy with our praise. How long will we be content to remain on this side of the river? My sister-friends, it is time for us to cross. It is time to drop the idols we have been holding. It is time for us to stop simply standing at the river’s edge. It is time for us to stop turning around and going back to the land of the familiar. We must cross. The time is here. The time is now. Stop doubting. Stop fearing. Stop whatever it is that keeps you from crossing the river and moving into the place that God has called you to be. My spirit grieves for time lost — for praises not given — for the mediocrity that we have been content to live in. Jesus is calling us. How long will we continue to ignore the call? Stop taking this life for granted. Nothing is promised to us. MOVE. WALK. RUN. SWIM. FLY. Do whatever it takes to cross. Jesus is calling us to cross and move higher towards higher praise, higher anointing, and higher obedience. Who convinced us that it could not be done? Who tricked us into believing that this is all that our life was meant to be? Who whispered to us that there was no life on the other side? There is no blame. JUST MOVE. There is no resentment. JUST MOVE. There is no anger. JUST MOVE. Who told you that you were unlovable? Who told you that you could not come to the throne of grace? Who told you that your sins were unforgivable? All lies I tell you. Jesus loves you. There is a place for you on the other side. Stop running from your destiny. God has a purpose and a plan for each one of us. WHY ----- WON’T ---- WE ---- CROSS!? God — The Great I Am — sent his servant Moses to go back to Egypt and to command Pharaoh to let his people go. We can no longer remain in Egypt — with all of its idols. We can no longer remain in Egypt — with all of its scarcity. WE CAN NO LONGER REMAIN. God sent His Son, Jesus, into this world to redeem us. So why are we sitting here in sin? GET UP! The price has been paid. On the other side is Peace. On the other side is Liberty. On the other side is Prosperity. On the other side is all that God has promised you. On the other side is Truth. On the other side is more Grace. On the other side is more Mercy. I know the journey seems long. I know the river seems too wide. I know that Egypt seems more comfortable. But our God is with us. Our God created the Heavens and the Earth and the fullness thereof. So why do we not think that He can command the rivers to part? God is The Beginning and The End. So why do we not believe that He knows all the in-between? God knew us before we were even in our mother’s womb. So why do we not believe that we are here with a purpose? Egypt is not for us. WE MUST CROSS. The land of idols is not for us. WE MUST CROSS. The land of making bricks without straw is not for us. WE MUST CROSS. The land of plagues and God’s wrath is not for us. WE MUST CROSS. My sister-friends, God is calling us, and we can no longer ignore the call. Our Promised Land awaits us. Let us examine what we call praise. Let us examine what we call obedience. Let us examine the idols we have been holding on to — resentment, anger, fear. Let us examine all that we are and surrender it all to God — the Creator of our Divine Souls. My sister-friends, we must heed the call and cross the river. There is no other choice. There is no other option. For any decision made without the Glory of God is none at all. My sister-friends, I am crossing over. I am not running back. I am not going to keep standing at the river’s edge. My Savior waits with outstretched arms, and I am taking His hands. I am holding tight — BUT I AM CROSSING OVER; for on the other side, My Sweet Destiny awaits. My sister-friends, let us cross over together. Let us move forward and come higher. God is loving us in this very moment. There is no other Love so great. There is no other Love so wonderful. There is no other Love so magnificent. My sweet sister-friends, THERE IS NO OTHER.
AND FOR THIS LESSON LEARNED, I NOW PASS IT ON.
