Paul flies to Virginia City, Nevada. Is met by Adam a senior employee of Bolder. They have lunch at the Steven Café, the only lunch place for a while. Paul sees a pretty woman wearing a white coat sit at a table a few feet away. He asks Adam who the good-looking woman is and is told she is Abigail Garland the only doctor in Bolder. “Her mother came from Thailand.”


When Paul drives his golf cart to Security to file papers so he may join Security,
he meets Ruth. He’s amazed seeing her good looks, and great breasts. He likes her right away. Unknown to Paul, Ruth believes she likes Paul.


When Paul registers for a room at the Bolder Hotel he sees a black-and-white dog lying beside his cart. Paul notices her paws are badly swollen and calls her Wander since she must have wandered many miles before arriving at Bolder. Since there is no veterinary to doctor Wander he takes her to Doctor Garland. Paul likes her a lot, also.
While driving through the ghost town Paul keeps seeing a black sedan with darkened windows. A man is always taking pictures of certain buildings.


Adam tells Paul the Bolder hotel has a historic story. Years ago when miners found gold nuggets and rocks of silver they often hid their findings until they could have them assayed. People thought Dawson hid his findings in the hotel before he was murdered. Nothing was found in the hotel. A few weeks later after Wander’s paws have healed, Paul takes her for an exercise walk through the streets near the hotel. He sees a man wearing a hard hat writing notes about the saloon. Paul borrows a hat and says wants to take pictures of an inside saloon. Wander disappears and is soon barking from the rest room. Paul walks to the restroom and finds rocks in a hole in the wall. They are gold nuggets and a large stone of silver. He sends them to Las Vegas and learns they have a value of nearly three million dollars.


Since Mr. Thomas, President of Bolder Management is away many days of the month seeking items which could be used in Bolder, he makes Paul Vice President.
Howard Construction wants to move from Virginia City to Bolder. Howard looked at Paul. “Since you’re a millionaire I’d like to have you give me five hundred thousand so I can move. I’ll write a contract giving you forty percent of my income from building houses and remodeling Bolder buildings. In other words you’d be my partner.”
Paul has Howard build a four bedroom house. Howard states he has five more contracts to build homes near Paul’s new house.
Paul meets Richard Jenkins, the new dentist and Sue, his sister.
Paul drives to Virginia City to meet a Lieutenant Martha Murphy who is the beginning of getting a police station in Bolder.
Paul sends airline tickets to his Mom Wilma Snyder, in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. After she sees the new home, she sells her home in Florida and comes to Bolder. “I can take care of the babies when they arrive.” She stated, looking at Ruth and smiling “You better tell Paul you want some loving.”
“Yes, mother.” Ruth replied. “Since we aren’t living in two hotels we’ll be sleeping together in our new home. You know what happens when a wife and husband sleep together.”
