One day Pete took a walk to where Bo and his herd were grazing. When he got there he found his friend playing by an old spruce tree. Excitedly, Pete said, “Bo...come with me, I want to show you something that is over where I live.”
Bo thought about it for a minute and he shook his head.
“I don’t know Pete. I am not allowed to go that far away from my herd without my mom.”
“C’mon,” Pete said persuasively, “It will be fine. You will walk with me and nothing bad will happen, let’s have an adventure!”
“Well, okay, Pete. If you say it is safe then I will go with you.” Buffalo Bo looked around for his mother. She was standing a few yards away talking to some other grown up Buffalo. He thought to himself, very hard and carefully.
He thought, “Should I ask mom? If I ask her if I can go to Pete’s she might say no. If I just leave now though, she may not even notice that I am gone...”
So Buffalo Bo quickly made his decision. He did what he knew he was not supposed to do.
