Brad Thorne, founder and CEO of Banner Insurance-Oil Corporation was both angry and scared. He had just been informed that Banner’s secret earthquake control procedure was about to go public. He knew public knowledge of this secret procedure would destroy Banner’s reputation and likely bring prosecution. To sell quake insurance while secretly controlling quake damage to eliminate insurance claims is brazen fraud.

This information that alerted Thorne was from Ed Steele, manager of Banner’s, Seattle Port crude oil storage, who said, “Mr. Thorne I thought you would want to know your quake insurance advisor, Professor John Newberry, has just left Seattle Port with a bunch of Green Leaf enviro wack-os, they plan to destroy Banner’s Valdez Alaska pipe line tanks and tanker loading piers.”

Thorne said,”I thank you for the call, I won’t forget your loyalty. Stay near the phone, I will get back to you with a plan to get Professor Newberry off that ship. He thought, that dammed professor is a loose cannon. Thorne said, “I am really concerned that he will start talking to that gang of enviro-wackos and reporters about our secret formula to control earthquakes.”

Dr. Tompkins, President of East Bay University, said, “I have always been awed by this altered silicone formula. It is hard to believe a simple dry earth element can be changed into a heavy super slick fluid. Yet it rolls around like mercury, is nonabsorbent and nontoxic.” Thorne said, “You are right, Dr. Tompkins, I too, marvel at this altered silicone, it is like roller bearings between the jagged rock faced earth plates. There is no shock, since the plates do not hang up on their irregular surfaces.

Thorne said, “Dr. Tompkins, apparently you have forgotten, I am President of your University Board of Regents, I put you in your job, and I can take you out. Now listen to what you are to do. Go bring Professor Newberry back from that Green Leaf ship. Bring him to my office, we must see what damage he has done talking about our quake control to those riff-raff Green Leafers.”

Professor Newberry said, “The nitty-gritty reason to stop pumping AWLR oil; it is unbalancing the earth and may soon destroy the world. You will soon see the earth rotation slow making days and nights longer. The erratic rotation will heat up the earth core magnum which will cause volcanoes to explode spreading ashes around the world and blot out the sun. Crops will fail and people will starve.”

There was a knock on the Steele’s door, a voice said, “Flower delivery,” Steele loaded his pistol and stood to the side of the door, and yelled, “Leave them by the door.” Suddenly, shots splintered the door. Steele fired back and heard something fall outside his door.

Polly said, “Wait till you see the Chinese food Banner has sent us.” Ed Steele opened the styrofoam container and quickly noticed the oleander leaves, he said, “These leaves are deadly poison, they were meant to kill us.”
