The couple is uniquely alike, but not by their looks; it is their identical ability never before known to actually exist. They are newlyweds on their honeymoon with no idea they both will be hired by secret government agents to find two nuclear bombs. The terrorists have the Russian built bombs hidden in Nevada to blow up Hoover Dam.
Robin Brooks had worked as an investigator to solve a crime for a secret service directly connected to the USA President. She met Donald Brooks and they were astounded to learn they have the identical ability. Don then helped her solve a non-dangerous case. This time there is lethal danger. Being young and adventurous they assume themselves impervious if not shot from behind. They are an especially attractive couple in their twenties.
Don and Robin are on their honeymoon cruise aboard a Greek ship-hotel. It stops at various islands during the day and cruises to the next at night. The cruise is a gift by a wealthy friend who believes they are Aliens; Donald had saved his life in a magical way; he let him think he was an Alien to keep his telekinese ability unknown.
Though amused by Donald’s ardor, Robin relishes his passion for her. She teases, “Don, we’ve a whole lifetime to make love. Let’s visit the islands in the daytime. Sample the local foods and swim in the warm water.”
“We could book another two weeks to see the islands.”
Robin grins as she leaves their bed to go to the bathroom. She looks back to say, “I knew you’d be insatiable.” Her mother had advised never let him know she felt the same.
Lying in bed Don watches his nude wife walk towards the bathroom. Robin had the same curvaceous figure like the identical twins he grew up with. And dressed or naked she had the same captivating way of walking as Louise and Anna Purchass. None of the three apparently were aware their walk was seductive, if they weren’t acting. The bit of wobbling their behinds when walking might be more instinctive than done consciously, but he guessed most women liked to be admired. Don blew a wolf whistle. The sight of her walking away turned him on again.
Robin reached the doorway of their compartment’s bathroom, when she is suddenly back in bed beside her husband. She scolds, “Don’t do that. I’ve got to pee.” She looks at the bathroom an says, “Me there.”
When his wife vanishes into the bathroom Don frowns as he answers his ringing cellphone. Worldwide coverage is a problem; people can phone him during a honeymoon. He expects it will be Grace Haig, Robin’s youthful mother. She is a Romanist and will soon marry Robin’s former professor, Roger Conectio. Robin and he had promised to be back to attend their Las Vegas wedding.
It is Richard Stafford. He and Barry Randle are high-ranked government agents in charge of secret operations not assigned to regular channels. Robin Haig had successfully worked undercover for them without revealing her astounding ability to them. Donald Brooks had helped her solve her last assignment. Richard Stafford and Barry Randle were highly impressed and offered them employment as special undercover agents working on their own. As Barry Randle explained, “We need people not known to either the CIA or FBI. In case we have a mole among the good guys.”
Richard Stafford said, “I apologize for interrupting your honeymoon, but I’d like to speak with Robin for a moment.”
Don said, “She’s exposed right at the moment.”
Richard was slow to answer. “You mean indisposed?”
“No, exposed. She’s naked.”
Robin came rushing from the bathroom to grab the cellphone to ask, “Who is this?”
“Richard Stafford. Robin, we have a bad situation we need you and Donald to investigate. One of our agents may be working with terrorists to cause a worse catastrophe than nine-eleven. Please contact me when you return.”
Robin hung up and ran back to the bathroom to shower. Don looked at a color brochure describing things to see. His cellphone rang again.
The caller was Valdor Macarole, a Real estate tycoon who used to smuggle marijuana into the States for a drug syndicate. Valdor had a falling out with the syndicate when he tried to quit. He had turned his smuggle import business over to a partner who double-crossed the syndicate. His former partner was murdered and a contract was put on his own life. Valdor Macarole had the money to hire twenty live-in bodyguards at his Las Vegas estate home, but he could not risk leaving it. Don Brooks went to see the ornery drug chief who was aboard his yacht. The negotiation became an alteration where Don was shot from behind and thrown overboard. Don used his power to drown the drug chief before he sank. Robin was on a Jet Ski and dived to save Don from drowning. Don suffered a loss of memory while she courted him to his recovery. The new syndicate boss feared Donald Brooks would kill him and quickly negated the contract on Valdor Macarole’s life. Valdor owed Don a promised eight hundred grand for saving his life.
On the phone Valdor said, “Sorry to bother you. But I need your immediate decision. I can pay you in cash when you get back from your honeymoon. But I thought you might like the apartments I was going to sell. You gotta live someplace. Sixteen deluxe units worth over two million now. I paid a half million for it before inflation. I’ll quitclaim it to you for the eight hundred grand with a title policy. You get over double what I owe you and I save capital gains tax.”
