Standards of Righteousness
The standards of righteousness, which God has set for the born again believer, is higher than the standards of modern religiosity, which the modern version of the Christian church represents, and offers to the world, For, none of these modern religious forms will enable the individual to obtain, nor sustain, genuine consecration! On the contrary, they actually hinder the cause of Jesus Christ.
Standards of righteousness which God has set for true believers requires sanctification, through self denial and the holiness of a pure heart, in our everyday walk and talk and way of living In this present world. Therefore, the truly born again believers, cannot indulge themselves in sinful worldly pleasures, without dreadful guilt and remorse! Each day of this life, after, having come into this light, I have learned to crucify my earthly nature, which is contrary to the holiness of God, that, I might through spiritual purification become divine, therefore, if I must struggle, and I must! I exist and persist, with all that is within me, to live, that I might live again! Yet, in the midst of all of my trials and tribulations, sickness and afflictions, God makes me to know his joy and his peace as I struggle to meet his standards as I travel along this way, And this standard and way, is called the way of holiness! All truly born again believers are purified and perfected on a daily and continual basis.
Saintliness is a continuous process, a process of taking off and putting on taking off the old and sinful nature, and putting on the new and divine nature. All true and genuine saved people are saints, ours is the endless pursuit of perfection, through the holiness of Jesus Christ! Therefore, I testify that, though I abide alone and I struggle, I am content and complete in Jesus Christ, sometimes alone, but never lonely!
It is unfortunate indeed that many present-day ministries that come in the name of Jesus deceive and mislead many people into a stupor and false sense of spiritual security, thus, allowing self-indulgence and worldliness in their versions of both, Christian worship and Christian living. But, be not deceived by their material and monetary success, for neither God, nor the gospel of Jesus Christ has changed! That which was required by the early church, remains the standard for the church today; and should continue to be required and taught until Jesus comes back for this church! Religiosities, and worldliness, are poor substitutes, for the righteous standards of God and holiness, which is only achieved in the Sprint, through Jesus Christ! In this world, all things are not sinful! There are, many, harmless secular activities and expenditures of energy. Athletics and hobbies etc. are time and space fillers, which often relieve stress; and are joyful activities that, tends to break the monotony of our earthly existence. These kinds of activities along with spectator sports and other forms of wholesome and harmless entertainment are light hearted and delightful diversions, from the seriousness of life and the struggles of every day living. To God is the glory, for the good things, and the harmless activities and innocent pleasures of this world. However, we must not get caught up and carried away in these harmless things; harmless, thought they may be. We must be spiritual minded and spiritually inclined. Let us, as believers, be reminded of the words of Paul. The Scripture saith: All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient, all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. (1st Corinthians 10:23)
Everything that is good to us is not always good for us, some things are spiritually detrimental, and some things will stunt our spiritual growth! Therefore, we should by no means sacrifice our eternal rewards for earthly pleasures! The Scripture saith: To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven, A time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up that, which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate, a time of war, and a time of peace. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)
This Scripture refers to the human experience in life. It refers to the way things are; not necessarily the way things should be. It refers to causes and effects; and dispositions, and emotions. It refers to lifes happenstance, both, spontaneous, and deliberate. It pertains to the human condition, both, the good, and the bad. It pertains to life, as we know it; and life as we experience it, everyday occurrences. It pertains to nature, as it affects each of us in some form or in some fashion in time and in space. Its an agenda! It is humanities full course meal, on the menu of life!
