ONE

It was May 23, 2004 and I, Shana awoke to a new day; GOD had once again kept me through the night. I thanked him for his blessing, as I did everyday. However, something was so different about this day. This morning, this hour, the minutes and the passing seconds in my life were just so different. I thanked the Lord again for THIS day.

Everything about today was absolutely overwhelming. This Sunday morning I was up and wide awoke at 6:00am. Never before had I been up at six in the morning on Sunday, but this day I was. I was up and I felt better than I had felt in years. Oh yes, this day was completely different from any others, this day was very different. I just couldnt explain it. Lord I thank you, I said. Some reason, I just felt a need to rejoice right then and there. This day, my Lord, I thank you for today.

It seems like healing and all worries had been resolved overnight. Everything was calm around me and I was at peace with myself, my life and GOD. I again thanked the Lord for this day. My body felt younger. After all I was only twenty-two, but I felt even younger than that. Even turning the age of twenty-two brought about different muscular pains, head aches and other body aches, but that was all over now, on this day all the pain was absent from my body. I realized that the aching in my foot from yesterdays intensive workout was long gone. The headache I had due to my day at work Saturday, it was gone. If the Lord did nothing else for me this day, he had already done enough overnight.
