1,000 word excerpt

This little book is straight from my heart and head. In some parts of it you may wonder where in the hell I am going with certain subjects. In some parts the language may get a bit out of hand, but sometimes, I believe that in describing certain things about life, there is only one way to illustrate them. This is not a short story or a novel of any type, just some thoughts that float through all of our heads and in my own Texas style, I try to answer some questions or just plainly pass on some good ol' advice that I've collected over my short life.

Inside the pages of this parchment, one should laugh, chuckle, grimace, or frown, hell, someone might even cry. Either way, this book is meant for entertainment and a way to analyze your own beliefs, convictions, and theories against mine. When the good Lord made all of us, he made us all different with independent minds. Otherwise, this place would be very monotonous and we wouldn't have anything to complain about or to make our own. Each one of us is entitled to interpret things to our own way of thinking.

I'd like to say that this book was meant for humor, entertainment, information, and self-reflection on all of us. I don't think too highly of self-help books and programs, because if you're doing it yourself-why in the hell do you need any help? However, if in some way my thoughts, beliefs, words, experiences, or point of views have inspired you to look at yourself and the direction, in which your road is going, then I have done my part as a friendly Texan and neighbor.

If you have somehow found a new light or found that you need to change some things in your life because of my influence, then you need to invest in a big mirror and a notepad. Maybe you don't have any real friends or you are afraid of what they might think-write that stuff down. You may throw it away or you might keep it for reference later on down the road. If folks would spend more time looking for a simple solution, rather than at the problems as a whole, things would never be as big as we made them out to be in the first place.

Many folks have asked what these ponderings are about or what they are supposed to mean. I am afraid I cannot answer that for you. These philosophical ramblings are for each individual to interpret against their personal convictions. I tell folks, that it is just a bunch of BS that I have jotted down and elaborated on. These are my philosophical views on life---you can relate, debate, or just be elated that someone has the brass to lay these things out.

I used to not let folks read these intellectual passages of mine because I was afraid of what they might think of me. Now, I just don't give a damn. I have discovered that folks like to read and hear about other people's problems and point of views. So I suppose, that if I can provide folks with a source of entertainment, information, or knowledge, with a little bit of my Texas southern attitude, then by God---that is what it is all about. Oh, and by the way, all of this is just gonna be a lotta talkin'!
