The author was born in St. Joseph, Missouri and raised in Troy, Kansas. After living on a farm for a short time, for the most part, it was a normal childhood, except for being molested by three different people when she was around 5 and 6. She had a poor relationship with her mother and sister. Thirty years after the fact, all of this surfaced, some had been suppressed this long. She considered herself an ugly duckling and a Cinderella. Since God had His hands on her, she grew and her poems flowed. She joined the Navy in 1969.That proved something to her. She met her husband, and finally settled in Jacksonville, Florida, where they now reside. She has a beautiful daughter and is involved in a ministry with the Lost Boys of Sudan. She has a second book called Cry of the Heart. She has a very close relationship with her Dad, and her Mom is in a nursing home in Kansas with Alzheimer’s. She continues to be active in her church. She is a part-time nanny and an author.
