Pauline Hager was born in 1931, in Clinton, Massachusetts, to Greek immigrant parents. She attended San Diego State University, and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Education. Pauline has worked as a secretary, a production coordinator for Copley Newspapers, a realtor and an English substitute teacher for the San Diego City School District. She and her husband, Randy, lived in Japan for two and one-half years, from 1994 to 1996. The Hagers have two sons and two grandsons. They have lived in La Jolla, California for over 26 years.
