Major Mitchell was the last of eight children in the family of Clarence and Zula Mitchell. The household had a modest collection of books that included poetry, and a collection of Zane Grey novels. Major spent countless hours listening, as two of his sisters read poetry aloud. It wasn’t long until he was developing his own passion for books. As a former pastor and published author, Mr. Mitchell now presents us with The Witch On Oak Street, a collection of stories written for his six granddaughters.
