In Buddha Everywhere and Nowhere, Zen priest John Seniff gives us an insightful glimpse into contemplative mind-- a dispassionate vantage from which true clarity about our human condition is possible. Based in Seniff’s own experiences, the book illustrates how contemplative mind influences thought, experience, and ability to abide in, rather than try to control, life. Simplicity, attention, and appreciation provide general direction that does not stuff life experience into this or that box. The focus is on appreciating the life we are and understanding at ever deeper levels called wisdom.

~ Robert C. Atchley, PhD, author of Spirituality and Aging.

A peaceful, introspective and important read , 10/27/2014

Kudos to John Seniff for putting together an enjoyable, concise read! This book offers observations and insights into a variety of vices, characteristics and tendencies that we may have engrained or may exhibit from time to time. Read a chapter, take a virtual step back, and then see if something in your life would benefit from a change or different approach. I found some chapters to be light and lifting, alternating with some...that served as a mirror (sometimes hard to look at) or maybe a little bit of much-needed medicine. A reminder that we all came into this world with nothing and we will leave with nothing. So what is important is what happens in between in our relation to this earth and the beings we share it with. This can be a quick read but is best consumed when able to enjoy some solitude and with an uncluttered mind.
